For five years AVA GRACE fought brain cancer with determination, strength, courage and humor. She will forever be Sweet sixteen! Ava lost her battle with brain cancer on August 5th, 2020. Ava supported Children’s Hospital since before her diagnosis. She made bracelets and held fundraisers to support CHLA. Thanks to CHLA and to Dr. Ashley Margol we got to spend five extra years with Ava filled with incredible memories. Those 5 years were the biggest blessing to all of us.
The Neuro-Oncology Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles treats children with brain tumors and spinal cord tumors, which are the second most common types of tumors in children. It is one of the largest pediatric neuro-oncology programs in the country, treating approximately 170 new patients annually. In addition to conducting cutting edge research to discover more effective therapies for children with brain tumors, the program offers patients access to the latest treatment options being tested in clinical trials through participation in national and international research consortia.
In Ava’s honor we want to do everything we can to help any child or family that gets this diagnosis. All proceeds from this candle will go to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to directly benefit and impact pediatric brain cancer research. When burning this candle we hope you remember the bright light that Ava was and that it fills your home with peace and warmth. Thank you for your support!
With Love-
